Earthquake: 3.5 quake strikes near Pinnacles

A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Tuesday morning four miles from Pinnacles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:14 a.m. PST at a depth of 5.6 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 17 miles from Soledad, 19 miles from Greenfield, 24 miles from King City and 70 miles from San Jose.
In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
