Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Mentone

A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Wednesday evening four miles from Mentone , according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:10 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 8.1 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was four miles from Redlands, five miles from Yucaipa, eight miles from Moreno Valley and 64 miles from Los Angeles Civic Center.
In the last ten days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
