Off-duty officer stabbed by attacker in Whittier home invasion

Whittier police Thursday night were looking for an attacker who stabbed an off-duty law enforcement officer during a suspected home invasion.
The officer was stabbed multiple times and was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, the Whittier Police Department said.
The attack took place about 3:20 p.m. on Thursday in the 5400 block of South Pioneer Boulevard. No other details were immediately available.
