Five candidates are scheduled for a first round of interviews on April 9 for the position of commissioner of the CIF Southern Section, according to spokesman Thom Simmons.
Simmons said in an e-mail the final candidates were picked out from a ‘large number of extremely qualified candates.’ He declined to name the candidates, saying it was a personnel matter.
Commissioner Jim Staunton has announced his retirement. Staunton is not participating in selecting his successor. A final decision is not expected until early May.
