Boys’ basketball: Jahmel Taylor scores 36 points for Pacific Hills

The Alpha League has some big-time scorers, and Jahmel Taylor from Pacific Hills is one of them. He scored 36 points on Monday night in his team’s 81-69 victory over Sierrra Canyon.
Brentwood (13-1) received 30 points from Tra Holder and 24 points and 17 rebounds from Leland King in a 93-69 win over Viewpoint.
Windward defeated Campbell Hall, 90-77, despite 38 points from sophomore guard Aaron Holiday and 24 from sophomore guard Khalil Smplis. Jordan Wilson led Windward with 22 points.
In the Western League, Fairfax defeated University, 52-44. Jonathan Brown scored 16 points. Westchester defeated LACES 83-35.
In the Marmonte League, Calabasas improved to 14-2 and 4-0 with a 62-59 win over Royal. Jeremy Lieberman scored 24 points and Max Hoetzel 15. Westlake is also 4-0 in league after an 86-76 win over Thousand Oaks. Grant Lozoya had 22 points and Marcos Soto 19. Agoura defeated Simi Valley, 71-42.
In the Moore League, Brandon Staton made seven three-pointers and finished with 25 points in an 86-46 win over Long Beach Jordan.
Cristian Robles scored 39 points in L.A. Salesian’s 77-71 win over El Segundo.
