Dentist James P. Bowers, 87

James P. Bowers, a dentist in Monrovia for 50 years, has died of complications following pneumonia. He was 87.
Bowers was past president of the California Dental Assn. and the Monrovia Kiwanis Club. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, a son and daughter, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Monrovia.
