AT&T; Boosting Phone Capacity to Mexico: American Telephone & Telegraph said it will increase its telecommunications capacity between the United States and Mexico fivefold this year and improve transmission quality by laying five cross-border fiber-optic cables. The cables will provide clearer connections and lead to new digital services between the countries, AT&T; said.
