Clayton National Player of Week

Cal State Northridge pitcher-first baseman Craig Clayton has been selected national player of the week by Mizuno Sporting Goods and Collegiate Baseball magazine.
Clayton, a junior right-hander, struck out 19 batters and allowed only four hits in a 6-1 win over U. S. International last Friday. He also had eight hits in 12 at-bats for the week. Clayton’s earned-run average stands at 1.44.
Northridge (28-10-1), which has won six games in a row, is ranked No. 15 in Collegiate Baseball’s Division I national poll.
