El Segundo Firm to Be Acquired: Chicago-based W. W. Grainger Inc. said it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Ball Industries Inc. of El Segundo, a distributor of sanitary and janitorial supplies. No price was announced. Ball, with 1990 sales of $28 million, has 155 employees in three locations. Grainger is a $2-billion distributor of equipment, components and supplies.
