A Too-Personal Attack
At first I thought I was reading the ultraconservative National Review picking apart Lee as an “infantile black nationalist” and undermining his credibility by implying he is a cheapskate. It is much harder to accept the article having been written by an “enlightened” former Pan-Africanist and nationalist.
It is the wrong thing to criticize via personal attacks. Congratulations, Ms. Njeri: You have been inducted into the Stanley Crouch/Shelby Steele Hall of Shame.
