Green Fairway Facts

As an avocado grower and as a would-be golfer I can’t pass up the chance to comment on the Fairbanks Ranch Golf Course sign telling passers-by that the nice green fairways are irrigated with well water.
While well water is not metered, it is ground water and that is a part of the whole water-supply problem. If they wish to be really a part of the water solution, I would suggest reclaimed water. This sign just does not indicate any real concern to those who know the problem.
