Howard Rosenberg’s article (TV Times, June 9) reinforces my assessment of most TV programming, especially local TV news, as the “vast wasteland” the medium was thought to be some 30 years ago. I also discovered why so many people refer to the KCAL and KABC-TV newscasts as “amateur hours.”
