Phil and Vlad: Phil Donahue and Soviet media commentator Vladimir Pozner will team up for a new syndicated Sunday night talk show set to begin in October. “Mostly they will just discuss world events, national events and everyday events--pretty much anything that is newsworthy,” said a spokesman for Multimedia Entertainment, which will produce the show. Donahue and Pozner have been friends for a long time, and first worked together in 1985 on two “Citizen Summit” programs where residents of Leningrad, Seattle and Boston talked via satellite. Pozner quit his popular monthly show in the Soviet Union earlier this year.
