WESTMINSTER — A Huntington Beach couple were arrested Tuesday after the husband robbed a bank of $7,000 and his wife drove the getaway car, police said.
Thomas Patrick Kehn, 56, and Maryann Catherine Kehn, 53, were arrested in connection with the robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank branch at 7950 Westminster Blvd., Police Sgt. John Leahy said.
According to police, a man entered the bank at 10:06 a.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money. After the teller gave him the money, the man fled in a 1981 maroon Chevy Chevette driven by a woman, police said.
“The vehicle was seen parked by officers patrolling the surrounding area, and the suspects were arrested as they were walking away” from the car, Leahy said.
The money was recovered from the car, police said.
