ANAHEIM : Nursery School Gets No Break From City

The City Council has rejected a request from operators of the West Anaheim Nursery School to reduce the school’s rent for a one-day fund-raiser at the Brookhurst Community Center.
School officials said they can’t afford the rent of $680. The school wanted to pay only $300 to cover the cost of city employees staffing the event.
The school should have planned the fund-raiser for a weekday when rental fees are less, the council said, adding that approving the reduced rate would set a bad precedent.
