In “Obstetrician Goes to the Apes With His Fertility Techniques” (July 1) regarding Dr. Yee’s use of his human fertility techniques in gorillas, the article explains how the female gorillas are given Pergonal via dart gun and how the eggs are obtained from the female gorilla’s ovaries.
Dr. Yee states that “no one wants to get too close to an active, 200-pound gorilla!” Point well taken.
What we want to know is how do you get the sperm from the male gorilla?
