Azumah Nelson of Ghana retained his World Boxing Council super-featherweight title as he wore down Calvin Grove to win a unanimous 12-round decision at Lake Tahoe.
Nelson, who had not fought since a Feb. 29 victory over Jeff Fenech, improved his record to 36-2-1. With the defeat, Grove, of Pottstown, Pa., fell to 41-5.
Judge Dave Brown scored the fight 115-112, Douglas Tucker had it 116-111 and Keith MacDonald saw it at 114-113.
