Rancho Santiago Losing Streak Ends at Six

SANTA ANA — Chris Ruperto rushed for a season-high 135 yards and two touchdowns as Rancho Santiago stopped a six-game losing streak by defeating Riverside, 20-18, in a Mission Conference game Saturday at Santa Ana Stadium.
Rancho Santiago quarterback Gabe Garcia completed 12 of 23 passes for 141 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown pass to Mark Flatten.
Jeff Landreth scored two touchdowns for Riverside (1-6-1, 1-2 in conference). Rancho Santiago is 2-6, 1-2 in conference.
