SportsChannel Not Worth the Effort

I am not at all surprised that SportsChannel went belly-up. Actually, I’m rather pleased. Here in Costa Mesa we play $25 a month for basic cable service. I would have to pay an additional $12 a month for SportsChannel.

I strongly dislike baseball, so that leaves me with Clipper games on SportsChannel, which I want to see, but not for an extra $12 a month. Maybe if they go to the finals I’d start to miss having the service. But maybe I’d be content, as at present, with reading about the games in The Times.
