A San Diego County inmate who escaped from the county’s Descanso Honor Camp through a hole under a fence earlier this week was taken into custody Friday morning, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Jeffrey Allen Holdeman, 38, was arrested about 11 a.m. at a house in the 4900 block of La Cresta Road in Crest after authorities received a tip about his whereabouts.
He is being held on charges of auto theft, receiving stolen property and escape, the spokesman said.
Holdeman escaped from the camp Wednesday evening. He had been there nearly three weeks, awaiting sentencing for auto theft and possession of stolen property.
