McDonald Scores Four as Buena Park Wins

LA HABRA — George McDonald scored four touchdowns to lead visiting Buena Park over Sonora, 28-7, Friday night in a Freeway League game.
McDonald, a junior, scored on runs of 63 and 39 yards while rushing for 130 in the first quarter.
McDonald pushed the Coyotes’ lead to 21-0 by running 53 yards with an Alan Buckley screen pass as time expired in the first half. The Coyotes (4-6, 4-1) went ahead, 28-0, when McDonald scored his fourth touchdown from the seven.
McDonald, a junior, finished with 163 yards in 17 carries.
The Raiders (3-7, 1-4) avoided a shutout when quarterback Robert Knowles hit a diving Noel Ishikawa with a four-yard touchdown pass midway through the fourth quarter.
Knowles had 134 yards passing, completing 15 of 35.
Sonora also got 61 yards in nine carries from junior Michael Stocz. But three turnovers proved costly.
