El Dorado Assistant a Baseball Coaches’ Officer

El Dorado High assistant baseball coach Iran Novick has been elected vice president of the National High School Baseball Coaches’ Assn. and will assume the presidency of the 1,500-member organization in 1994.

Novick will be an officer for the next four years. He becomes vice president in 1993, and after serving a year as president, will be immediate past president in 1995 on the association’s executive committee.

Novick is tournament director for the Upper Deck Classic, an annual baseball tournament co-hosted by El Dorado and Esperanza that attracts some of the top teams in the nation. He is also a columnist for the Collegiate Baseball newspaper.
