L.A. Baptist 28, Western Christian 22--Junior wide receiver Jim Romero caught touchdown passes of 24 and 13 yards and scored on a 61-yard reverse to lead L.A. Baptist at Monroe High.
The victory enabled L.A. Baptist (5-5, 3-1) to secure second place in the league. Western Christian is 4-6, 2-2. Jeff Symington led L. A Baptist’s running attack with 101 yards in 14 carries, including a six-yard touchdown run with nine minutes left in the third quarter.
