A Canoga Park man was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter after his vehicle slammed into a car on Sherman Way in Reseda, killing an 80-year-old Tarzana man, Los Angeles police said Sunday.
Gurmohan Singh, 29, was being held Sunday at Van Nuys Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail after the 11 p.m. Saturday collision that killed Fred Tedesco, Officer Bill Rice said. Singh was driving west on Sherman Way near Wilbur Avenue when he crashed into the driver’s side of Tedesco’s car, which was pulling out of an alleyway, Rice said.
Rice said Singh appeared to have been intoxicated at the time of the accident. Singh submitted to a blood test after the crash, but the results were not known Sunday, Rice said.
