An incendiary device that caused a small fire Sunday afternoon at a Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Sherman Oaks led to the evacuation of about 200 people from a four-block area, but no one was hurt, Los Angeles police said Monday.
City firefighters put out the blaze at 15035 Ventura Blvd. after confining it to a single booth, and Van Nuys Division officers recovered the device, clearing the area for about two hours, police said.
An arson team is investigating the incident, officials said.
