1991-92: 16-5-1, 8-1-1 in league; won Century League title; reached the quarterfinals of 3-A playoffs, losing to La Canada.
Key returners: Jacquie Bannister, midfielder, So.; Krista Broughton, Jr., forward; Kim Campbell, Sr., forward, the county’s leading goal-scorer last season with 48; Kate Erdei, So., defender; Amelia Foreman, Jr., midfielder; Jenny Looney, Sr., defender; Heidi Schiesser, Sr., defender; Tina Thompson, Sr., goalkeeper.
Key newcomers: Carrie Fair, Sr., defender; Juliene Jackson, So., defender.
Outlook: The Comanches, who won the Century League last year, have added two players who will make them even more formidable. Fair, who started as a freshman and sophomore, returns after a year in Texas; Jackson played as a freshman in Washington. Campbell, who also led the county’s leading goal-scorer with 36 as a freshman, says she has recovered from a knee injury suffered last summer. Even so, Williams said he will be bringing her along slowly.
