PALMDALE : Man Sought in Wife’s Shooting

Authorities were searching Friday for a Palmdale man who allegedly shot his wife in the leg and fled with the couple’s month-old baby, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
A fight erupted between Ramon Godinez, 27, and his wife, Gina Moreno, 19, at a Thanksgiving party Thursday in an apartment in the 38000 block of 11th Street East in Palmdale, Deputy Gil Arce said. Godinez fled the party in a rage and returned about 1 a.m. and shot his wife three times in the leg with a pistol.
Godinez then allegedly grabbed the couple’s baby and fled. Moreno was listed in good condition at Palmdale Medical Center and was later transferred to another hospital.
