Infoseek to Add Microsoft Online Services

Infoseek Corp. said it will feature Microsoft Corp. online services such as Microsoft Investor on its Internet directory as part of a promotional and revenue-sharing agreement between the two companies. Terms weren’t disclosed. The agreement also covers the Microsoft Money Insider guide, Microsoft Expedia.com travel services, Microsoft CarPoint online automotive service and MSNBC on the Internet. It also broadens Microsoft’s online presence and allows Infoseek to cater to more consumers, the companies said. Shares of Santa Clara-based Infoseek rose 19 cents to close at $11.88. Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft shares fell $1.50 to close at $132.06. Both trade on Nasdaq.
