Ennis Commits to UCLA

John Ennis, an All-City Section pitcher from Monroe High, said Thursday he has committed to UCLA.
Ennis, considered the region’s No. 1 senior pitching prospect, was 7-4 with a 2.50 earned-run average last season. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound Ennis had a no-hitter, a perfect game and was the winning pitcher in Monroe’s upset of top-seeded Carson in the City 4-A playoffs.
During the summer, he hit four home runs in an American Legion game and played in the Area Code Games in San Diego.
