BUENA PARK — A 20-year-old Anaheim man, who was thrown from his motorcycle after it collided with a pickup Thursday, died Friday from head injuries, police said.
Justin Lett was traveling west on Orangethorpe Avenue near Thomas Street at about 3:20 a.m. when his motorcycle struck a pickup driven by a 55-year-old Corona man who was attempting a U-turn.
Buena Park Officer Larry Hainley said Lett tried to pass the pickup on the left as it began the turn, which is permitted in that area. The driver of the pickup was not cited.
Lett was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange where he died at 4 a.m. Friday, Hainley said.
The accident, which occurred in good visibility and no traffic, remains under investigation.
