Cupertino-based Apple Computer Inc. said its new online store received more than 4.4 million “hits” and booked about $500,000 worth of orders in its first 12 hours of operation. . . . Oceanside-based CinemaStar Luxury Theaters Inc. said it has been informed that the Nasdaq Stock Market intends to delist its securities from the Nasdaq SmallCap Market effective Friday. CinemaStar said it plans to appeal. CinemaStar shares were unchanged at 81 cents. . . . San Diego-based Qualcomm Inc. said fiscal fourth-quarter profit rose almost fourfold to $30 million, or 41 cents a share, from $8 million, or 11 cents, a year earlier. . . . Glendale-based Public Storage Inc. reported third-quarter net income of $46.5 million, or 27 cents per share, compared with $40.4 million, or 30 cents, a year ago.
