One of the original ranch homes from Bernardo Yorba’s ranch has been restored and will be open to the public Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Bryant Ranch House is named after Susanna Bixby Bryant, whose father bought Rancho Canon de Santa Ana from Bernardo Yorba in 1875. Susanna Bixby and her brother, Fred, ran the ranch after the deaths of their parents. In 1925, she became the sole owner of the ranch.
The restoration project was a joint effort of the city, the Yorba Linda Heritage Museum and the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden.
The house is on Susanna Bryant Drive, near Camino de Bryant and La Palma Avenue in east Yorba Linda. Admission is free. Information: (714) 961-7160.
