Glendale Federal, McDonald’s in ATM Pact
Golden State Bancorp’s Glendale Federal Bank and McDonald’s Corp. agreed to install automated teller machines in McDonald’s restaurants in Southern California. Glendale Federal said it will initially install 21 machines in McDonald’s locations mainly in Los Angeles County. The bank said several of the restaurants are in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. The agreement comes after a successful trial in Bakersfield, Calabasas and Santa Clarita. The McDonald’s deal is the latest by Golden State this year to expand its ATM network in non-bank locations, including movie theaters, malls and restaurants.
