A free workshop for prospective home buyers will be offered Saturday in Lincoln Heights in an effort to encourage home ownership in the community.
Sponsored by the Lincoln Heights Neighborhood and Preservation Assn., the workshop will provide information about low-interest loans and down payment assistance available for first-time buyers through a city program.
“We feel that in order to improve the area, we have to have more investment and encourage people to take ownership in the neighborhood,” said Oscar Garcia, who is organizing the workshop.
Lunch and a free credit report also will be provided.
The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lincoln Height Senior Citizen Center, 2137 Workman Ave.
Reservations and information: (626) 796-9836.
