Hernandez Recall Leader Reports Threats on His Life

The leader of a campaign to recall City Councilman Mike Hernandez said Thursday that he has received warnings that his life is in danger.
Albert Molina said he received two anonymous phone calls last week warning him that “two drug dealers and a dirty cop” were planning to kill him.
“It had me a little worried,” Molina said. “I’d be stupid not to be nervous about it. But mostly, it just gets me mad.”
A Los Angeles police spokesman confirmed that Molina reported the threats to police officials. Detectives will talk to Molina and investigate after he signs a complaint, said Lt. Anthony Alba, LAPD spokesman.
Molina said the caller made no mention of his involvement in the recall campaign he organized with others after Hernandez was arrested for cocaine possession.
