High Schools Likely to Get Sniff Tests by Drug Dog

The Brea Olinda Unified School District Board of Trustees is expected Monday to authorize use of a drug-sniffing dog on high school campuses.
The dog, owned by the Brea Police Department, would periodically visit Brea Olinda and Canyon high schools to sniff lockers and parking lots for drugs, Supt. Peggy Lynch said.
District middle schools would use the dog on an “as needed” basis.
Lynch says that parents are supportive of the use of the dog and that she has not received any negative feedback from students.
