St. Genevieve 13, Bell-Jeff 0--The Valiants (2-8, 2-5) needed only one play to to take control of a Santa Fe League game at Birmingham High.
On the first play from scrimmage, Eddie Beltran threw what appeared to be an incomplete pass but actually was a lateral. Chris Merrin picked up the ball and ran 65 yards for a touchdown.
Beltran connected with Merrin on a two-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.
Clifford Rivera of St. Genevieve rushed for 157 yards in 24 carries.
The Valiants held the Guards (3-7, 2-5) to 105 yards.
