Victim in Head-On Crash Is Identified

LA HABRA — A man who died after a head-on collision Friday has been identified as a Larry LeJeune of Bellflower, authorities said Saturday.
LeJeune, 37, was driving his Hyundai north in the southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard about 4:15 p.m., police said.
South of Lambert Road, the Hyundai collided with a southbound Thunderbird, police said. Investigators are unsure why he was going the wrong direction.
LeJeune died after being taken to Friendly Hills Regional Medical Center in La Habra. The driver of the Thunderbird, Eileen Nuzum of Fullerton, was airlifted to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she was stable Saturday night.
The crash remains under investigation.
