Lindero Canyon Park

* I am concerned about a 30-acre parcel on both sides of Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village. Surrounding neighbors thought this land was deemed to be open space and in some cases purchased their homes on this assumption.

Our neighborhood has formed a neighborhood preservation group . . . to prevent implementation of a [Lindero Canyon Park] sports complex. A sports complex on both sides of a busy artery is dangerous, poorly thought out and a poor use of public funds.

Westlake Village does not have a hospital with emergency care service or a library. We feel that taxpayers’ money should be spent on these much needed services, instead of on development of a sports complex and on upkeep of this venture.
