Temecula Linfield Ousts St. Margaret’s

MURRIETA — Josh Stevens of Temecula Linfield scored four touchdowns and rushed for 183 yards in 10 carries to lead his team to a 48-8 victory over St. Margaret’s in a Division XII first-round game Saturday at Murrieta Valley High.
Linfield (8-2-1) scored in the first minute of its first two possessions and took a 28-0 lead after the first quarter on touchdowns by Joe Ruelas, Stevens and Jace Chapin.
Chapin scored on runs of 18 and 33 yards.
Stevens scored two touchdowns in the second quarter on eight-yard runs.
He scored one last time in the third quarter on a 16-yard run.
Rhett Swanson scored the only touchdown for St. Margaret’s (4-6) in the fourth quarter.
