7 pm: Movies

Federico Fellini’s “La Dolce Vita,” one of the most entertaining serious movies ever made, screens Sunday as the final offering in the UCLA Film Archive’s “World Without Pity: Tabloids on Film” series at the James Bridges Theater in Melnitz Hall. The late Marcello Mastroianni became an international star as an increasingly jaded columnist covering “the sweet life”; it is also the film that yielded the term “paparazzi.”

* La Dolce Vita, James Bridges Theater, Melnitz Hall (near Sunset Boulevard and Hilgard Avenue), UCLA, Westwood. $4-$6. (310) 206-FILM.

6 pm: Parade

The Hollywood Christmas Parade, a Thanksgiving weekend tradition, will roll through the streets of Tinseltown. The grand marshal is actor Tom Arnold. Radio personalities Mark & Brian and celebrities David Anthony Higgins, Kathy Kinney, Kate Mulgrew, Tia and Tamera Mowry, Taran Noah Smith, Zachery Ty Bryan and Gena Lee Nolin will be along for the ride. Also included are bands, floats, cheerleaders, equestrian units, classic cars and more. See it live or avoid the crowds and watch it on KTLA-TV Channel 5, hosted by Bob Eubanks and Leeza Gibbons.

All day: Family

The clatter of hooves is resonating through the Los Angeles Zoo now through Jan. 1, due to the herd of reindeer in town for the zoo’s Reindeer Romp. Young children can make their own antlers and learn about Santa’s best friends on the weekends. Entertainment and a tree decorated with animal figures are planned to get visitors in the holiday spirit. Closed Christmas Day (the reindeer, presumably, have a prior commitment).

* Reindeer Romp, Los Angeles Zoo, 5333 Zoo Drive, Griffith Park. Daily 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Included in zoo admission, $8.25; ages 2-12, $3.25. (213) 666-4090.

4 pm: Sing

The great songs of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart will be the focus of Judy Wolman’s latest edition of “Sing! Sing! Sing!” Wolman supplies the music and lyrics, you supply the voice and enthusiasm. No doubt everyone will leave with a song in their hearts.
