My Favorite Weekend

Bar Hopping: Friday nights are the worst nights to go out because people get paid on Fridays, and it’s a zoo. If I do go out, I like to go to Indochine on Beverly for seafood. The atmosphere is great, the bar is great and the waitresses are good-looking. After that, I stumble across the street to Atlantic, where the bar is jammin’. I stay out until the crack of 1 a.m. and it’s so close, I can walk home.
Beach Bumming: Saturday I like to hang out at the beach because in California, that’s what you do. I go to Schatzi on Main (Arnold’s place), have a big cigar and enjoy myself. Also in Santa Monica, Shutters at the Beach has a great brunch and a great view.
Cruising: Sundays I’ll grab a friend and go early to the Strand in Santa Monica to roller-blade. You have to go early to beat the crowds.
On the Fairway: Sunday mornings I like to play golf. I’m a big golfer and I go early, about 7 a.m., to beat the crowds. Playing golf is a great way to socialize.
A Dream Boat: I like the marina a lot because I have a boat, a Cobalt. On an ideal day I would pop out on my boat and get to Catalina and cruise the bars there.
Long Weekend: My weekends really extend to Monday. Monday night is a great night because a lot of people don’t go out. Drai’s on Monday nights has the best blues and the best food. People get crazy dancing. And Drai’s also has that old Hollywood feeling, which I love.
