Ethnic Albanian separatists attacked a police station in Serbia’s turbulent Kosovo province, opening a nightlong battle that killed a Serbian police officer and an assailant. The attack targeted a police station in Reznic, 60 miles west of the province’s capital, Pristina, Serbia’s official Tanjug News Agency reported. Police blocked all roads leading to the village, sealing off the community for an battle that also wounded two police officers and an attacker. Clashes elsewhere in the southern province--where ethnic Albanians make up 90% of the 1.9 million residents--wounded six people a day earlier, including an ethnic Albanian teacher who later died of his wounds.
