Suspect in Drive-By Shooting Arrested

SYLMAR — A Canyon Country man, wanted in connection with a gang-related drive-by shooting last month that left another man with gunshot wounds to the neck and shoulder, was arrested Tuesday, authorities said.
Miguel Hernandez, 21, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder shortly after noon at a residence in Sylmar. He was being held in lieu of $1 million bail Tuesday night at the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station jail, said Sheriff’s Lt. Daniel Castillo.
Arturo Romero, 23, of Canyon Country, was shot March 6 on Stillmore Street.
He was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, where he was treated and released.
