* Trabuco Hills Invitational, 8:30 a.m. Saturday: More than 1,300 athletes from 70 Southern California high schools are expected to participate at Trabuco Hills High. Competition is expected to be strong in the boys’ 800 meters with defending champion Devin Lindahl of Dana Hills running against Brea Olinda’s Steven Willmer and Santa Ana’s Luis Perez. The 1,600 will feature Mission Viejo’s Mark Gleason and University’s Martin Brix. The strongest girls’ event appears to be the 300 intermediate hurdles, featuring top-seeded Sunny Nicholas of Sunny Hills, El Modena’s Vicki Bloom, Santa Margarita’s Amanda Shanklin, Brea Olinda’s Sarah Bonilla and Mission Viejo’s Sarah Higham.
