El Modena’s Lake Chooses Chapman

El Modena shortstop Chrissy Lake has committed to play softball at Chapman, according to her father, Chuck.
Lake is batting .563 and has scored nine runs for the Vanguards, who are expected to give top-ranked Foothill a battle for the Century League title.

Amy Chiaverini, a 6-foot middle blocker from Woodbridge High, has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Boston College, her mother, Mary, said.
Chiaverini was a first-team All-Sea View League selection last fall.
