City Plans to Buy Van for TV Channel

The lease is up on the Los Alamitos Television van, so the city plans to buy it.
City Council members on Monday will consider purchasing the white Ford that carries crews of high school and college students to council and Planning Commission meetings and events around town that are carried on the public-access channel.
The van will cost $11,840. The city will lease it back to Los Alamitos TV for $200 a month. Lease payments will accrue in savings to buy a new van when the current one wears out, Mayor Ronald Bates said.
The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. in City Hall, 3191 Katella Ave.
