Woman’s Body Found in Gully Near Airport

Homicide investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday were attempting to identify a body found by passersby in a gully near Palmdale International Airport.
Investigators said the partially buried and semi-clothed body appeared to be a Latina in her 20s. They estimated it had been there for a day or two before its discovery Friday at 9:30 p.m. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
