Driver Held in Hit-Run Death of Bicyclist, 24

Police have arrested a Los Angeles driver who allegedly hit a bicyclist and then drove away.
Valentine Diaz, 24, was struck about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday while riding south on Avalon Boulevard near 37th Street. He died later that morning.
Witnesses followed the alleged hit-and-run driver, Jose Gerardo Vasquez, 20, and got his license plate number.
Officers found Vasquez and his car at his home nearby.
