Deal of the Week: Cruise-Train Tour

A wide-ranging cruise-train tour of the U.S. and Canadian Eastern Seaboard, timed for fall foliage, starts at less than $120 per person per day. The 17-night trip, called “A Journey to Colonial America,” begins Oct. 18 in New York with a one-day train trip to Montreal on Amtrak’s Adirondack, via the Adirondack Mountains and the Hudson River Valley. It continues with a 14-day cruise aboard the Norwegian Sea that includes the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Atlantic Coast, with stops in Bar Harbor, Maine; Boston; Norfolk, Va.; Baltimore; and Charleston, S.C. The trip ends in Miami. The price, starting at $1,995 per person, double occupancy, includes a two-night stay in Montreal, most meals, guide services and tours of Quebec City and Charleston.
